Quantum, a 2022 70-foot Pershing 7X, is sleek with snazzy lines that make this luxurious performance yacht look in motion even while sitting still. The three-stateroom yacht has a nearly 50-knot top hop and is on the market with Allied Marine for $3.99 million.

“Pershings are built for drivers. These machines can be handled like boats half their size.The 7X’s powertrain consists of twin 1,800 hp MAN V-12 diesels whisking Top System T85 surface drives. On board, there’s something of a runaway-train feeling, with the nearly 70-foot yacht seeming as if it just doesn’t want to stop accelerating. The ride is exhilarating. The 7X is fast, even for a Pershing,” Yachting previously reported.

Board Quantum via a telescopic hydraulic passerelle. The yacht’s has 340 square feet of exterior deck space, 75 square feet of swim platform and 204 square feet of cockpit. The cockpit, swim platform, side decks and foredeck are all clad in teak. Relax on an L-shaped dinette with a teak table and two chairs, which is shaded by the hardtop, or improve that tan on a sofa and sun pad aft that can be shaded with a Bimini top. Fiberglass cabinets to port and starboard provide plenty of stowage, along with a locker under the sofa. Grill lunch on the cockpit grill before heading down to the electro-hydraulic swim platform for a swim. The swim platform has room for a few guests to lay out in the sun. Looking for a little privacy? Walk up to the foredeck, which is set up with sun pads and a chaise-style lounge that easily accommodates four to six guests.    

Quantum’s salon is accessed through a hideaway aluminum-and-crystal door from the cockpit. Slide open the door and retract the window and door to create an open-air environment from the helm to cockpit. The first thing I noticed were the two sizable sunroofs, side windows and windscreen that allows natural light to illuminate the salon and helm. Guests can relax on the portside aft L-shaped fabric sofa with a foldable wooden, high-low table and two leather folding chairs. An entertainment center is to starboard.

Forward of the salon is Quantum’s Naviop-Simrad equipped helm station to starboard and a chaise-style lounge to port. The captain’s chair, co-pilot chair and helm wheel are covered with Poltrona Frau leather with all controls comfortably within arm’s reach. Pershing Yachts and speed go hand in hand, and the builder’s 82 VHP—Very High Performance—model accentuates this trait even more. Phoenix Rising is a 2017 Pershing 82 VHP listed with Allied Marine for just shy of $3.8 million. The three-stateroom flybridge cruiser has an entertainment-friendly layout and a staggering 50-plus-knot top speed. 

“This vessel is not only a powerhouse of speed but also an oasis of comfort and style. With an array of recent upgrades and meticulous care, it offers an extraordinary yachting experience,” says listing broker Allied Marine. 

Designed and created by yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni in partnership with the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, the 82 VHP features a reworked interior and an upgraded powerplant.

Allied Marine currently has a 2020 Pershing 70, Liquid, listed for sale with a $2.349 million asking price. The express cruiser has Pershing’s iconic sleek and chic lines with a three-stateroom layout and an impressive amount of on deck amenities. “This special 70 Pershing is Hull No. 25 and the very last of her breed,” says Allied Marine Superyacht Broker Sean Fenniman. “Liquid has seen thoughtful upgrades from her seasoned owner and is perfect for the South Florida lifestyle.”

When it comes to speed, this 70-footer has it and more thanks to twin low-hour (300) 1,600 hp MTU 10V2000 M96L diesels pushing this beast to an eye-watering 46-knot top end. “On a bright, sunny fall day off Cannes, France, I pushed the Pershing 70’s throttles to their stops,” Yachting previously wrote. “I felt a surge of performance as the twin 1,600-horsepower MTUs climbed above 2,400 rpm. A light wind had roiled the coastal waters into a compact chop, which the 17-degree monohedral [constant deadrise] deep-V hull beneath my feet parted with ease. I glanced at the console and saw 46 knots staring back, and I have to admit it made me smile.”

Exterior entertainment spaces start the moment you step on board the hydraulic swim platform that is prepped and ready to launch a tender or PWC. Stairs flank the transom heading to the teak-sole cockpit where a three-person lounge pad extends off the transom, back-to-back with the cockpit bench seat. Two fixed folding tables forward of the bench seat offer alfresco dining for six to seven people, just pull up a few chairs. If guests need some reprieve from the sun, the hard top extends from the superstructure, shading the cockpit dining area. 

Wide sidedecks with high bulwarks and stainless-steel hand rails make for safe passage to and from the foredeck. 2008 Sea Ray Sundancer 60 – Three Sons – Washburn, Wisconsin

Three Sons, a Sea Ray Sundancer 60, is listed for sale with Atlantic Yacht & Ship and has an asking price of $769,999. The 2008, 34-knot-plus express cruiser has cruising accommodations for six within its three-stateroom layout.

Three Sons is powered by twin 1,100 hp MAN V-10 diesels, which is the same propulsion setup Yachting experienced during our initial sea trial of the Sea Ray Sundancer 60.

“With the luck of the draw, winds and seas were such that running offshore would have been at best unpleasant. Even the Intracoastal Waterway was stirred up, but the 60 had no problem slicing through the chop,” Yachting previously reported. “Her two 1,100 hp electronically controlled, common-rail MAN diesels reached maximum turns in approximately 30 seconds without hesitation and I recorded a maximum speed of 34.8 knots.”

The outside spaces aboard this yacht include two sun pads that flank the teak-sole cockpit. Immediately forward and to port is a four-person L-shaped settee and a table that folds out to create a larger dining space with the three-person bench sofa to starboard. The helm is forward and to starboard.”

Throttling back to 750 rpm, 9 knots, will extend Recovery’s range to around 360 nautical miles and allow guests to enjoy the views on the open waters. 

A GRP hardtop with dimmable lights and electric sunroof covers the salon and helm of Recovery. The salon has a U-shaped seating area, which includes a two-seater chaise lounge and coffee table to port. Large windscreen and side windows give owners and guests a great view of the surroundings, but opening the sunroof and rear sliding-glass door to the cockpit brings an open- air atmosphere to the salon area and helm. A set of stainless-steel framed sliding doors with an integrated opening window lead to the cockpit where guests can sunbathe on a cushioned twin sunbed, or enjoy a few beverages from the wet bar while seated at the L-shaped settee with teak table. Fire up the electric grill for lunch after a short swim from the bathing platform, or open the garage and launch the tender for an excursion to your own private beach. Venture up to the foredeck of Recovery where you will find an additional seating and sunbathing area with an open view of the water. Quiet included.

Belowdecks is where you will find the galley, which is equipped with a four-zone induction hob combination microwave/convection oven with grill, twin stainless-steel sinks with mixer tap, full height refrigerator/deep freezer with ice maker and dishwasher, enabling owner to prepare almost any type of meal during extended excursions. Gilman Yachts currently has Behike, a Pershing 62, listed for sale with an asking price of $1.75 million. This 2018 hardtop express cruiser is known for its combination of luxurious appointments and 45-knot speed.

“As for cruising, hold onto your hats. Like all Pershing yachts, the 62 goes like the ballistic missile that is her namesake,” Yachting previously reported. “Her standard pair of 1,550 hp MAN diesels mated to Arneson ASD 14 surface-piercing drives propelled the 62 to a 45-knot top end and a fast cruise of 36-plus knots, according to Pershing. At these speeds, those MANs would burn well over 100 gph, but hey, one has to put 3,100 horses to work occasionally, right?”

Openness defines the main deck of Behike with the rear bulkhead able to lower and disappear completely, creating an open plan with unobstructed sightlines from the transom to the helm forward. The after section of the cockpit is a three-person sun pad with an L-shaped settee and fixed table forward, backing up to the salon’s L-shaped settee and fixed table–creating two alfresco dining spaces, one entirely protected and one shaded. A flat-screen TV is tucked away in the starboard cabinet, abaft the two-seat helm station. The captain can dial up the interior sunlight to 10 with the electronically operated window shades and the hardtop sunroof.

As with all Pershing models, the GTX80 is designed to offer a memorable ride. It’s a planing boat powered by triple 1,000-horsepower Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350s. According to the shipyard, the top speed based on preliminary data is 34 knots, with a cruising speed of 28 knots.

Beam on the new model is about 19 feet, with two decks and a sportbridge. There are four staterooms to accommodate eight guests, along with a crew cabin with two berths.

The Pershing GTX80 is a collaboration among the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Vallicelli Design, and the group’s engineering department. The hull was built at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mold facility.

In terms of design, the Pershing GTX80 has a near-vertical bow and a continuous, slightly convex sheerline. Bulwarks in the bow section are lightened by a longitudinal slot, while those in the stern have a dual function, incorporating the winches and converting into lateral terraces that swing down to allow for additional guest access to the water.

The stern platform has three different positions. There’s the standard default position; it can be raised to extend and integrate with the living area and open lateral terraces when they’re open; or it can be positioned for tender launch and retrieval.

Up top, the Pershing GTX80’s sundeck is nearly 250 square feet, which the builder says is 60 percent larger than the category average. There’s an arch-shaped deckhouse along with an optional carbon fabric hardtop that Pershing calls a “real novelty” as a way to lighten up the superstructure.

Inside, the galley-bar is open on the main deck, integrating it into the lounge area. It also opens out onto the cockpit, enhancing the indoor-outdoor experience. Lacquered ceiling panels and metallic silver paint are used in the décor, along with diagonal LED lights for what Pershing says is “uniform light diffusion across the entire deck.”

This hull of the Pershing GTX80 also has a master stateroom that is, top to bottom, leather paneling described as cloud-effect sky blue. All the heads have metallic lacquered panels on the walls.

Where does the skipper sit? There’s a raised helm station in the bow with 360-degree visibility, thanks in part to a windshield with no central pillar and extensive glazing. A sunroof above the windshield can be opened for natural ventilation.

Stallion, a 92-foot Pershing 9X with a four-stateroom layout and a 42-knot top hop, is currently listed with Denison Yachting for $8.75 million. The 2022 build has accommodations for eight guests, plus three crew, and it comes with a transferrable engine warranty until 2027.

Teak stairs flanking Stallion’s swim platform lead up to the cockpit, which is outfitted with a lounge pad aft. Forward is an L-shaped settee facing aft and a table. Add two loose chairs and there’s room to accommodate eight for dinner under the stars.

Sliding glass doors tuck away to form a wide-open main deck with unimpeded sightlines from the cockpit to the helm station forward. The salon’s U-shaped sofa is to starboard. There is seating for about six guests. A wet bar and three loose stools are positioned forward and to port, just abaft the three helm seats on centerline.

Stairs in the cockpit lead up to the 92-footer’s open and low-profile flybridge where guests can enjoy relaxing on the three-person sun pad just abaft the three-seat upper helm station. Aft, a six-person C-shaped settee and two fixed folding tables provide additional seating and a great spot for alfresco dining. Simply close the stairway doors for more privacy.

Stallion’s four staterooms all reside belowdecks with an amidships, full-beam owners’ stateroom with en suite head and his-and-hers vanities, separated by a glass enclosed shower. There’s a forepeak VIP stateroom with a double berth with en suite head, and two additional guest staterooms are to port and starboard and forward of the master stateroom amidships–each with an en suite head and two single berths.

The galley on this 92-footer is also belowdecks–aft near the crew quarters. Miele appliances include an oven, a four-burner electric cooktop, a microwave, a freezer and a full-size refrigerator. It also has a sink and a dishwasher.

The foredeck is the final entertainment space onboard Stallion. It features a three-person sun pad, a forward-facing four-person bench seat and an aft-facing four-person C-shaped settee.

Twin 2,638 hp MTU M96L diesels combine to produce more than 5,200 hp, providing an impressive 42-knot top hop and a sporty cruise speed of 35 knots. The engines recently underwent 500-hour servicing.

Other notable features onboard this Pershing 9X include a tender garage with space for a Williams Sportjet 345 tender and a PWC, two Seakeeper 9 gyrostabilizers, two 28 kW Kohler generators, Xenta Joystick/Steering System, Chiller A/C System, a washer and dryer and two waterproof cameras interfaced with the helm station.

The team at 26 North Yachts says the owner of the 54-foot Pershing 5X Veloce has dropped the yacht’s asking price by $90,000. The new asking price is $1,199,000.

Veloce is a 2018 build powered with Volvo Penta IPS950s and joystick controls. It also is equipped with a Seakeeper stabilizer, an upgraded generator and a hydraulic swim platform.

There are two staterooms on board, including a full-beam master—which is unusual on a Pershing smaller than 60 feet length overall. The main-deck salon and cockpit are connected by a glass door that opens to combine the two spaces. As 26 North explains it, “this allows for the entire main deck to transform into an open area from bow to stern, or to be closed off when weather conditions are not ideal.”

Let’s talk speed: According to 26 North, Veloce has a cruising speed of 30 knots and a maximum speed of 36 knots.
